This was our first test and tune of the season. We entered as a RWYB car but
were rescued from the horrors that that can hold as regard track access by
Andrew (PDRC) who put us in the "proper" pits. Cheers mate!
My times on the Saturday were nothing special (12.892 @104.990 mph being
the best I managed). But a 0.593 reaction for that pass did get me the 3rd
best reaction time of all entries in all car classes at York that day:
Monday, May 2nd was Linda's first outing as driver, and with her first
run she managed 13.007@107.16 mph. Scarily, her best reaction (although not
on that run) was a neat 0.533, giving her the 3rd fastest car
reaction of day two, and therefore of the entire event!

Hmm, box problems again but at least this time the fault was
finally pinpointed. Various field-expedient repairs attempted (many thanks
to the WBers who offered tech assistance, tool hire, and tow car
facilities!). Nothing worked 100% but we now have a fix - as well as the
offer of a free box from Sid - which is nice! We did prove that the longer
exhaust pipes make a huge difference and that, although looking sexier,
maybe, the short zoomies just aren't useable with this size of small CI,
high revving engine.
