Team Hector Mods and Changes:
Replacement back body section fabricated to increase height and provide a greater (yet totally false) sense of security. It also looks slightly cooler (we think).
Replacement engine:
405 (Cosworth) Block Bored to 2.1. Mig Wired (ringed) - Ported & Roughened Head Vulcan Oversize Valves. Inlet: 45.5mm Exhaust: 38mm - Mad Cam (.550 lift/322 degree duration). Currently set to 106 degrees.
Accrolite Forged Pistons - Cosworth Crank and Rods - Group A Head Gasket
High pressure/volume Oil Pump. Steel/Lightened flywheel - Baffled Alloy Escort RS2000 Sump - Aldon Dizzy (conventional points triggering a CD ignition system)
MSD Digital 6 ignition with rev limiting - Holley Anihilator CD Coil.
Front canopy section shortened some 8” to accommodate slightly repositioned replacement engine.
Engine mountings modified to raise engine slightly. - Reduction gear starter fitted, ex Ford Transit.
